Brief
History
of Know Bull!
Establishing an effective means of ridding organisations of workplace
bullies, was a concept that the founder of Know Bull!, Jennifer
Wilkins had entertained for a number of years. As news of the
increase in workplace bullying grew, so too did Jennifer's desire and
the urgency for the services Know Bull! However, it wasn't until
mid 2007 that Know Bull! - Anti-Bullying...by design, become a
reality. Over the next few months the Know Bull! team was
formed, and this culminated with the 'official' launch of the Know
Bull! website 01 May 2008.
The
members of the Know Bull! team share a similar passion and
vision...we're 'pro' healthy and respectful workplaces, and we aim to
raise awareness of, and assist where possible, in eradicating bullying
from our workplaces. The team members possess a wealth of
technical and professional expertise, which has been gained from a
variety of occupations and organisations from non-profit, private and
public sector organisations - to cutting edge commercial environments.
Collectively, their experience spans such areas as event management,
business development, health and welfare, small business, child abuse
prevention, the entertainment industry, counselling, change
management, corporate communications, property, strategic planning,
and public relations - to name a few.
And
at some point in their lives - all members of the Know Bull! team have
experienced the effects of workplace bullying either in a professional
capacity through developing policies, procedures and strategies to
assist organisations in combating workplace bullying - to a more
personal level in supporting co-workers, or as witnesses and 'targets'
of bullying behaviours.
With
a number of Know Bull! team members possessing experience in managing
boards, committees and presenting at conferences and seminars - they
are well-placed to assist organisations in addressing workplace
bullying issues from the 'frontline' to the governing body.
